Set on 1 acre of beautiful landscaped gardens with sparkling in ground swimming pool for those warmer months, stunning fire-pit for those cooler evenings and conveniently on the doorstep of the world-famous Hunter Valley Vineyards and award winning restaurants. Master built home with top quality fixtures, fittings and furniture, Jasmine House accommodates up to 10 people offering spacious open plan living areas and 4 large bright and airy bedrooms. There are two Queen bed bedrooms one of which has a walk in robe and ensuite bathroom. The third bedroom contains 2 King Single Beds, there is a fourth bedroom that doubles up as a media room that has a highly reviewed Koala double sofa (see link to reviews) plus an additional single sofa chair. There is also a comfy sofa in the study which can accommodate an extra person. A travel cot is also available (bring own bedding for this). All our bed linen and pillows are luxury hotel standard and soft large bath towels, hand towels and facecloths are also provided. To add to your comfort there is ducted reverse cycle air conditioning/heating throughout the house and in all bedrooms. The modern kitchen is well equipped and opens up to the spacious living and dining areas so you can always be part of the conversation! The large dining table can accommodate 8/10 people and is a perfect space to enjoy a home cooked meal or to sit and indulge in your wine and food purchases from the wonderful Hunter Valley. There's also additional seating for 4 people at the large kitchen bench and a 3 seater sofa to one side. The kitchen contains modern appliances such as stainless steel oven and gas cook top, microwave and dishwasher. Supplies including tea, coffee and espresso machine, salt, pepper, olive oil etc. For longer stays the large laundry has a washing machine and condenser dryer should you need it. Off of the kitchen out to the garden there is a large light and airy sunroom with sliding doors and remote control blinds which opens out onto the beautiful gardens and view of the mountains, choose to close out the cold in winter with cafe style clear blinds that seal up the room or open the clear blinds and have the choice of fly screens or full open for that alfresco experience. Here there is an additional 8 seater table and chairs plus a lounge for 6-8 people. Between the kitchen and the lounge room there is a double sided wood burning fireplace which is beautiful on colder nights. In the lounge room there is a Smart TV large comfy sofa, swivel armchair and additional recliner and footstool looking out to the gardens. There is an additional large room currently set up as a media room but this also doubles up as the 4 bedroom as it has a double sofa bed and additional chairs, again there is a large Smart TV in this room. Log into your Netflix, Stan, Apple or Amazon account’s and stream away! There is an Amazon Echo to control lighting and for your safety, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are throughout the house. There is also an alarm and video doorbell all accessible from the tablet supplied. A portable Bluetooth speaker is provided for if you would like some music by the pool or the fire-pit. There is also an amazing outdoor kitchen area with bench seats for you to BBQ and relax with friends. The historic town of Wollombi with the famous Wollombi Tavern, the home of 'Dr Jurd's Jungle Juice' is only 20mins away along beautiful countryside. In Wollombi you will find several restaurants offering fantastic food as well as other shops and museums. So, if you are looking for a mix of wineries, amazing food and relaxation then this is the place to enjoy it with family and friends. On the doorstep of the Hunter Valley and the historic town of Wollombi, spend your day visiting the local wineries and eating beautiful food then return to the house and laze by the sparkling pool or enjoy the sunset over the mountains with a glass of red by the fire-pit. Or alternatively.....just spend your days lazing at the house and enjoying the beautiful gardens and tranquility. We love to slow down here with no Wifi and no TV. All cabins are 50m apart...you'll feel like it's your own private holiday unless you have friends or family in another house, you can easily walk between cabins. The farm adjoins Myall Lake National Park and a beautiful cow paddock to the North. The Mainstay is 10 minutes drive (9kms) to Seal Rocks beach, 15 minutes to Cellito Surf Beach, 5 minutes (3 km) to Hearts Point Picnic area in Myall Lakes National Park (Free gas BBQs! this fresh water lake is ideal for kayaking/SUP boarding and swimming; an easy 1.4km walk to the Neranie historical timber mill and an old cemetery starts in the grassy clearance of the picnic area). We are only 600m from the general store & petrol station and the legendary local "Chaos" takeaway (Pizza nights Fridays and Saturdays) , 10 minutes (12km) to Foodworks in Charlotte Bay for a larger shop and 31 minutes (35km) to Forster (there's a large Stockland Shopping Centre Aldi/Kmart/Bunnings/etc). Note: there is no mobile reception at The Mainstay, unless you're with Optus and no children under 6 are allowed, as there are stairs and high loft rooms and also an unfenced dam. Guests can walk around the whole farm. Feel free to pick Eucalypt leaves, wild lemons, Banksia, anything! to place in vases on tables. Wild kangaroos, cockatoos, lorikeets, ducks, kookaburras, goannas. Cow paddock next door. Park next to your house. All houses have hairdryers. Towels. Linen (extra linen in common room). Spectacular ocean and inland views are to be had when staying at Ridgeview (a 15 minute drive from Denmark), a large (405sqm) 4 bedroom (Upstairs 1 with a Queen, 1 with 3 Singles; Downstairs 1 with a Queen and a Cot, 1 with 2 Singles), 2 bathroom (1 Upstairs, 1 Downstairs) home (with free WIFI, Smart TV and Nespresso Machine), surrounded by a large grassed area (with Firepit) and located in a rural environment high on the Bennett Range, as well as 50 hectares of pasture and natural bush to explore. Sheep and cattle (and kangaroos) graze the property and it is close to Greens Pool, Alpaca Farm, wineries, cafes, restaurants and other attractions.

we love this because... Metung is one of the prettiest villages in Australia. Positioned on a small spit of land, it sits on Bancroft Bay, with Lake King at its back. It is a photographers paradise, a natural environmental home to amazing birdlife, dolphins and fish and a wide variety of native animals. The Gippsland Lakes also offers sailing, boating and fishing in sheltered inland waterways free from rocks, reefs and tides. Even if you don't sail or have a boat licence you can hire a boat locally and explore these safe waters. Just contact our friends at Riviera Nautic to help you out with all things boats and fishing. We love the uniqueness of this beautiful lakehouse, a three-storey weatherboard cottage painted a striking Ironstone Blue with white trim, reminiscent of the houses in the Hamptons. We spend the time in the cosy lounge in winter with the log fire and a good book. In the morning we take our dogs for a walk through the garden and a private walkway through native bushland (the property is on 1 acre) to the lake and Cantrills Jetty. Here we through a tennis ball into the water for the dogs to swim out to while sitting on the small stretch of the beach watching the boats coming in and out of Chinamans Creek. In the afternoon we take a fishing rod (you will find a couple together with fishing tackle in the property for your pleasure) and wander down the pathway again to the Jetty to catch something for dinner (you will need a fishing licence but you can pick that up from Riviera Nautic too). Picnic on the beach before walking back the few minutes home to The Oar House. For the best lunch or dinner, we head to the Metung Hotel (locally known as the Pub) and always book a table with a view. Its always bustling so you have to book. For breakfast, we eat at Bancroft Bites or we head into Lakes Entrance and buy fresh prawns off the boats and come back and sit outside undercover with local wine and feast. PAWfect What fun! a new house to visit that lets four-legged friends like me sleep inside. Yay! a garden and courtyard with fences to keep me safe (although if you are a tiny tacker then you might fit under the front fence which has big gaps, you need mum and dad to keep an eye on you then). Love the trees, bushes and the walking tracks the wombats have made, there are lots of interesting smells. Are those possums in the trees? I LOVE THIS PLACE.

This apartment is located in a very quite dead end street where there is no traffic. Please note you will require a vehicle as there is no public transport. Covid safety changes to note prior to your arrival: Due to Covid safety, we have been advised to remove provisions and amenities that cannot be easily sanitised and to not proceed in sanitising food container & beverage container items. This includes items such as salt & pepper containers and cooking oil. Cardboard items such as al foil, cling wrap, paper towels and tissues etc have been removed for now. Wherever we can, we have switched to individually portioned items such as dish power, washing power, tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper sachets. we love this because.. It's our dream to escape to the country. Even if it is only for a weekend! JOIE DE VIVRE is our dream escape to your own little piece of paradise with picturesque 10-acre views in Red Hill, in the heart of the peninsula's wine region. When we drive down the quiet country lane with the tree-lined driveway we know we have the most relaxing weekend waiting for us. As interiors addicts, we feel like we have walked into a magazine cover. What to look at first? The marvellous french inspired cast iron fireplace or the facing chesterfield sofas or the view in the background. We really never want to leave, we walk the dog in the grounds and sit on the jetty in the dam and ponder the meaning of life while watching the fishes swim by. The kids are completely engrossed in the playground, tennis court or basketball...so many things to do. The property is located right next door to Main Ridge Estate and across from Red Hill Cheese, two wonderful gourmet destinations that we don't even need to get in the car and drive to. The vines for Main Ridge Estate are in fact at the back door of this property. Please note that there is a security camera located on the roof of the pump shed by the water tanks. The camera is pointed towards the equipment shed and has no view of the main house, playground or dam. This camera is not active during your stay.
