Wee Silverburn - a delightful Cottage on Arran

Wee Silverburn is a delightful, white-washed cottage in Whiting Bay. It sits in a peaceful location above Whiting Bay. Retaining many original features including Canadian Maple flooring and wooden beams, it provides space for a cosy holiday getaway. Other attractive features include a carpeted spiral staircase, an open fire and well-tended gardens. Additionally, there are numerous local amenities within walking distance; including, restaurants, a pub and coffee shops. Wee Silverburn includes a fully fitted kitchen and an attractive dining area with an open fire. There is also a separate sitting room with a 32 inch TV. A spiral staircase leads upstairs to two double bedrooms and a single bedroom. The cottage has central heating, providing a warm and cosy atmosphere. There is private parking on sight. Guests can also choose to walk downhill to the waterfront where there is a very good bus service. There are plenty of beautiful forest walks in the area, all of them just a minutes walk from Silverburn Cottage. 1. There is the well-known walk through the woods of Glenashdale Falls. This is Arran's most impressive waterfall. This walk can be taken without the use of a car. 2. The walk to the Giant’s Grave is also well worth taking and, again, can be taken without the use of a car. 3. The walk at King’s Cross affords wonderful views of Holy Isle, and one can see the burial mound evidence of Viking occupation. Getting around the island is best done by car or by bike (the island is wonderful for a biking holiday). However, there is a very good bus service to and from Brodick and from there to the rest of the island, with a bus stop located just down the hill from the cottage (5 minute walk). NOTE: Please note that having taken advice regarding Covid, towels are not supplied in the cottage. Therefore, we would ask all our guests to bring their own bath and hand towels. Thank you.
