From the train station A 12 km tuk tuk ride will bring you to the villa on the Ella wellawaya kumbalwela highway towards wellawaya . When you Pass the 8th km post , you will come to a small town called Hunukatiya junction. From the junction theres a road to the right called Visari Ella road . Once you turn in to Visari ella road, you will find a “Y” junction . Take the right hand side and travel untill you see a board called Area 4. Once you pass the board you will climb a steep hill . at the top of the hill there will be a concrete road to your right .( it’s a sharp turn )travel up this road till you find a honey comb brick wall entrance . ( 1 km distance from the main road ) If your travelling by Bus from colombo You need to book the colombo Badulla bus ( booking number )the bus leaves the Makumbura transport hub at 9.30 Tuk tuk ride from . your location to the Makumbura transport hub .the bus will travel through the southern highway and enter the Ella wellawaya kumbalwela road . your journey after exiting the highway will be approximately 1 hour and 15 mins . You will reacha town called wellawaya . one you pass the town your next land mark will be the Uma oya project. Please request the driver to drop you off at the Hunukatiya Junction.
