Within just a few minutes' walk of the flat there is a micro-brewery, a hummus bar, a dim-sum bar, a Greek supermarket with cafe (great Baclava), Polish milk-bar, a Georgian restaurant, an ecological bakery and cake shop. Look at my recommendations for these. Everything is within easy walking distance. Take a lovely walk along the river, under the bridge, to the castle (3-5 mins), from there you can walk along Grodzka (the main street in the Old Town) to the Square. There is a river taxi just around the corner (a few seconds). A tram stops nearby the flat at the Orzeszkowej stop (2 mins) with several trams to the station, shopping centre and other locations in the centre. No parties in the flat or excessive noise past 10pm! The flat is quiet on 3rd and 4th floors on a quiet one-way street. The river is just 30 seconds away, around the corner, where you can have a wonderful walk past major tourist attractions, catch a riverboat taxi or go to the amazingly cool former Communist hotel Forum for a coffee or cocktail on the riverside.
