Our caretaker Matt lives a few doors away and we, the owners, an hour's drive inland. Cycle or walk everywhere along the 'senda litoral' (coastal path) visiting the pretty old town of Estepona in one direction or the bustling, vibrant marina of Puerto de la Duquesa the other. 14 kms Inland is the stunning Moorish Town of Casares with its 12th century castle and cliff-hugging buildings. There's a choice of many local golf courses including local Finca Cortesin or the world famous Valderamma just a short 20 minute drive away. There are a nearby restaurants on the beach within walkable distance and plenty of international options a short drive away. Malaga Airport is under an hour away with the Gibraltar option just 40 minutes by car. Marbella and exclusive Puerto Banus can be reached within 20 minutes. A car is recommended although there is a local bus service with bus stop 500 metres from the house. The L77 route can take you to Marbella or up into Casares with a total of 31 stops in between. The almost completed coastal path which is accessed from the urbanisation (50 metres from the house) is a lovely route spanning 184 kms from Manilva all the way to Nerja.
