Rastoni is a Greek word describing the summer slump, the much-needed relaxation, the unplugging from everyday routine, the refreshing calm. Our beloved grandparent's house turned into a fresh, cozy, luxurious -but at the same time respectful of its history- two-apartments lodging, ready to host a relaxing and refreshing accommodation. We -my co-host or myself- can help with arranging transportation, car hiring and excursions, and we’ll be available to answer any question or give information throughout guests' stay, upon communication. Please take a minute to read the available check-in methods and the house rules at the end of this text. By checking-in you automatically accept these rules. Check-in methods: ------------------------- You can check-in after 3pm in one of the following ways: (a) Lock and unlock with a code using the door’s keypad or through the NUKI App that you have to install on your smartphone (both the code and easy detailed instructions for the app will be sent to you a few days before your arrival and will be unique for your stay). You will also find physical keys inside the house. (b) My co-host will wait for you in front of the building at the time of arrival you have declared (if it’s until 11pm) to welcome you and give you the keys. In case of no appearance 90min after the declared time or if you arrive after 11pm, you can enter the house using the code or NUKI app (a). In any of the above cases, my co-host will be available any time (on call) during your stay to assist in person. Also, in any of the above cases you will receive an entry code a few days before your arrival in case you prefer to use it during your stay instead of physical keys. Just please let us know what works best for you. House rules: ----------------- - Parties/events are not allowed. - Unfortunately we cannot accommodate pets. - To oblige with Greek law, you will need to provide us with your passport/ID details, a few days before your arrival. At least one guest must be over 18 years old. - If the reservation is for 4 or fewer guests, there will be no access to Apartment 2. No other guest will stay there, the accommodation will be exclusively for you, however, Apartment 2 will be closed. In order to have access to Apartment 2, the reservation must be made for 5 or more guests. - If you choose the check-in method (b), my co-host will wait for you in front of the building at the time of arrival you have declared (if it’s until 11pm) to welcome you and give you the keys. In case of no appearance 90min after the said time or if you arrive after 11pm, you can enter the house using the code or NUKI app (a). - SMOKING IS PROHIBITED INSIDE THE HOUSE or the smoke detector will be activated and the ALARM WILL GET OFF. If you want to smoke, please use the balcony or the courtyard. - The use of the pool and jacuzzi must be done with due care, observing the safety rules and taking into account the slipperiness of the floor due to water. It is recommended not to consume food/alcohol 3 hours before swimming. - The use of the pool and jacuzzi by children should always be done under the supervision of an adult. - Pool maintenance requires the presence of our specialized partner every about 3 days, who will need to be in the pool area for a maximum of 15-30 minutes. - Please respect the quiet hours: ~ April 1 to September 30 (summer season): 3-5.30pm & 11pm to 7am ~ October 1 to March 31 (winter season): 3.30-5.30pm & 10pm to 7.30am - Please make sure you have switched off the air-conditions and kitchen before you leave the house. - Please do not use towels for de-makeup. Products for this purpose will be available in the house. - Please use the waste bin to dispose of toilet paper. - Please respect the house as if it was yours. It means a lot to us. Kalives is a pretty seaside village in the area of Apokoronas in Chania, on Souda Bay, 19 km east of Chania and is one of the resorts on Cape Drapanos, along with Almyrida and Plaka, popular worldwide for their lovely beaches. Besides, Apokoronas is one of the green areas of West Crete and you will be astonished by the diversity of the beauty of the place. The area manages to combine a scenery of woods, hills and mountains as well as trees with the amazing Greek sea and the original rustic Cretan architecture. There are two ways to reach the island of Crete: BY BOAT: From Piraeus port, daily departures to Souda port of Chania or to the port of Heraklion. BY PLANE: There are two international airports on the island: in Chania and in Heraklion. DISTANCES Chania Airport: 25 km ( 30 min. drive to Kalyves and then to the house). Souda Port of Chania: 10 km (15min. drive to Kalyves and then to the house). Heraklion Port or Airport: 126 km (100 min. drive to Kalyves and then to the house). From Chania airport or Souda port: Follow the signs to the highway in the direction of Rethymno. Take the highway. Upon reaching the junction to Kalyves Armenoi take the exit to Kalyves and follow the signs to Kalyves. Enter Kalyves village and at the end of the road turn left. After 3km you will see a sign to Stylos Village. There turn left and drive slowly for 350m. You will see a bridge, just at the end of the bridge turn right, follow the narrow road and at the end of this road you will reach Villa Di Creta at your left. From airport or harbour of Heraklio: Follow the signs to the highway in the direction of Rethymno – Chania. Take the highway. Pass all the exits to Rethymno and continue, headed in the direction Chania. Drive for 30km and take the exit to Kalyves, follow the signs to Kalyves. Enter Kalyves village and at the end of the road turn left. After 3km you will see a sign to Stylos Village. There turn left and drive slowly for 350m. You will see a bridge, just at the end of the bridge turn right, follow the narrow road and at the end of this road you will reach Villa Di Creta at your left. Το όνομα του καταλύματος είναι εμπνευσμένο από τις "Δρυάδες" της ελληνικής μυθολογίας, οι οποίες ήταν Νύμφες των δασών, αθάνατες και προστάτευαν τα δάση. Το διαμέρισμα Δρυάδες, το πέτρινο σπίτι 2 , διαθέτει ένα υπνοδωμάτιο που περιλαμβάνει ένα διπλό κρεβάτι με ανατομικό στρώμα, εντοιχισμένη ντουλάπα με καθρέφτη και τηλεόραση 32΄. Στον ενιαίο χώρο σαλόνι - τραπεζαρία υπάρχουν δύο καναπέδες που μετατρέπονται σε ημίδιπλο κρεβάτι και κουζίνα πλήρως εξοπλισμένη με ηλεκτρικές συσκευές και μαγειρικά σκεύη. Διαθέτει wifi και τηλεόραση 43΄. Επίσης, θα βρείτε αναγνωστικό υλικό για να διαβάζετε δίπλα από το πέτρινο τζάκι που θα σας συντροφεύει τις κρύες νύχτες του χειμώνα ή κάτω από τη μουριά του κήπου το καλοκαίρι. Έξω από το διαμέρισμα υπάρχει κήπος με τριανταφυλλιές, το πανύψηλο έλατό μας και η μουριά. Εκεί βρίσκεται το μπάρμπεκιου και ένα μεγάλο μαρμάρινο τραπέζι, όπου μπορείτε να φάτε και να απολαμβάνετε τα καταπράσινα βουνά με έλατα και βελανιδιές. Τέλος, το ιδιωτικό πάρκινγκ βρίσκεται σε απόσταση 100μ. από το κατάλυμα. Στο χωριό "Νεοχώρι" που απέχει 2χλμ από το κατάλυμα θα βρείτε μίνι μάρκετ, φούρνο και φαρμακείο. Όλη η ιδιοκτησία είναι στη διάθεση των επισκεπτών και το διαμέρισμα έχει αυτόνομη θέρμανση. Θα σας παρακαλούσα να ενημερώνετε εγκαίρως την πιθανή ώρα άφιξής σας προκειμένου να έρθει ο υπεύθυνος διαχείρισης του καταλύματος για να σας υποδεχθεί. Οτιδήποτε χρειαστείτε, η επικοινωνία μας μπορεί να πραγματοποιηθεί μέσω της εφαρμογής με μήνυμα. Πρόκειται για μία πολύ ήσυχη και φιλόξενη γειτονιά. Στα 150 μ. υπάρχει η εκκλησία των Αγίων Αποστόλων με εξαιρετική αγιογράφηση, το δημοτικό σχολείο που λειτουργούσε τα παλαιότερα χρόνια και εξοπλισμένη παιδική χαρά για τους μικρούς μας φίλους. Από εκεί μπορείτε να απολαύσετε τη μοναδική θέα της Λίμνης Πλαστήρα και να εξερευνήσετε τα κρυφά μονοπάτια που θα σας οδηγήσουν προς το εκκλησάκι του Αγίου Γεωργίου. Στα 50 μ. από το κατάλυμα υπάρχει η παραδοσιακή ταβέρνα "Το Πανόραμα" όπου μπορείτε να απολαύσετε πολλά κρεατικά της ώρας και την παραδοσιακή πέστροφα μέσα σε ένα πολύ όμορφο και ζεστό περιβάλλον. Στο χωριό "Αγία Μαρίνα" (Πλακωτό) υπάρχει ταβέρνα "Ο Πλάτανος, άγχος μηδέν" όπου μπορείτε να φάτε αγριογούρουνο, αρνί στη σούβλα και ποικιλία κρεατικών στα κάρβουνα. Επίσης, μπορείτε να περάσετε δημιουργικά τον ελεύθερό σας χρόνο κάνοντας πεζοπορία σε ειδικά διαμορφωμένες δασικές εκτάσεις. Αναλυτικότερα μπορείτε να πραγματοποιήσετε ανάβαση στην Τέμπλα Αγράφων και στο Παρατηρητήριο που θα ανταμείψει όποιον το επισκεφτεί, καθώς παρέχει αμφιθεατρική θέα σε όλη τη λίμνη και την πόλη της Καρδίτσας. Ακόμη, μπορείτε να επισκεφτείτε την Παναγία Πελεκητή, δημιούργημα του 15ου αιώνα που βρίσκεται στα 1400 μέτρα υψόμετρο, η οποία από το 1939 είναι αναγνωρισμένη ως διατηρητέο ιστορικό μνημείο. Τέλος, σε απόσταση 6 χλμ. έχετε την ευκαιρία να γνωρίσετε το φράγμα της λίμνης (μήκους 220 μέτρων) που αποτελεί το φυσικό σύνορο μεταξύ της λίμνης και των γύρω βουνών, να αγοράσετε παραδοσιακά γλυκά και αναμνηστικά. Villa Despina is a recently built two storey building with 4 bedrooms located 1 km from the villages of Asomatos and Lefkogia in the mountainous area of southern Crete.
