This house is located near the famous Fushimi Inari Taisha, the head shrine of the god Inari. The Fushimi Inari Taisha is one of the most visited tourist spots in Kyoto; it was chosen as the best tourist destinations by foreign visitors in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 according to TripAdvisor. Kyomachiya-Suite Rikyu is located in a quiet area in the Gion/Higashiyama district, the center of sightseeing. It was renovated from a townhouse built over 65 years ago, transformed into a modern Kyoto-style townhouse we see today. Guests will surely have a pleasant stay in a modern space, as bright wood with beautiful texture and fragrance is used throughout the house. Natural light pours through to the first floor, giving a sense of spaciousness. There are 2 semi-double size beds on the second floor. Additional futon bedding is provided for groups of 3 or more in the Japanese-style room. Furnishings and other items are traditional craftwork proudly made with materials from Kyoto. Guests will be greeted by the manager at check-in.
