The former fishing village of Peenemünde is the most northerly village on the island of Usedom. The community looks back on an eventful history and is still known far beyond its borders as a former military base. In the immediate neighbourhood is the Peenemünder "Haken, Struck and Ruden" nature reserve. Excellent excursions to the most beautiful corners of the island can be planned from the "Nordhafen Peenemünde". In the marina you will have your own houseboat, you will be personally welcomed at the reception, you can get your pre-ordered bread rolls there every morning and in the evening the harbour master will barbecue for everyone. The "Nordhafen Peenemünde" is about 2km away from the village itself, but easy to reach by car. Peenemünde is the ideal starting point for exploring the Pomeranian Bay. In the immediate neighbourhood, the former military base and the nature reserve "Peenemünder Haken" offer places to relax, while a little further east, the sophisticated island spas of Usedom invite you to take a walk along the promenade. From the main port of Peenemünde, a ferry leaves several times a day for Freest, from where you can start beautiful day trips to the Hanseatic towns of Greifswald and Wolgast.
