This chalet was redesigned with maximum comfort for large groups and families in mind. The main floor is heated throughout and its open plan flows through the common spaces: A large and well appointed kitchen, dining area, bar, a reading nook and an entertainment lounge. The top floor is home to 5 private rooms, including the Master suite, with sweeping views of the valley. Two and a half bathrooms (including one shower, and one bath tub are found on the main floor and top floor. For storing and drying ski gear, a dedicated dry room is available, along with a washing machine on site. Parking is available upon request. Rest assured that a booking at Rider's Ridge will guarantee you access to guest facilities on all 3 floors, and no other guests or groups will be staying at the property. Our management team will be there to check you in and get you acquainted with the chalet and the town, and are only a phone call away should you need assistance during your stay. Powder Peaks is an ideal getaway to explore spectacular Mt. Myoko. Our house can accommodate up to 12 guests, and it is just a short 5 minutes drive to the ski lifts as well as all restaurants in Akakura Onsen. In traditional style, with a touch from the Western World, this house has been renovated through 2019. We revamped the bedrooms and added proper spring beds and mattresses. We also fully renovated the kitchen, dining area and added a new bathroom. You will find that there is plenty of space in the house for all of your mountain getaway needs. Each of the 4 bedrooms is a roomy 4 to 8 tatami mat space. We provide quality bedding and professionally cleaned linens. The kitchen comes equipped with the basics, and you can feel free to cook and dine in as you like. There is also a dining area and a lounge, or living area. You will also find ample space for storage and for all your ski and snowboard gear. Our house is just minutes away from the slopes and from the town. This is a simple and convenient way to enjoy Myoko! Guests have access to the entire house and all of it's facilities. Although we (Jen and Matt) usually won't be on site, we live nearby and we will always be available to help via phone or online. We will check you into the house and get you acquainted with the area. We can also help you arrange shopping trips, ski rentals and help with restaurants recommendations. Whatever your holiday needs might be, just ask us - and we will help you make the most out of your experience in Myoko and the nearby sights. The house is located in a friendly residential neighborhood just down the road from Akakura town. The house is at the end of a street, so there is quite a bit of privacy and feeling close to nature. Although the house is technically walking distance from the mountain, walking up hill in ski boots isn't recommend. We do highly suggest a car for this particular property. There is parking in front of the house, though on heavy snow days any vehicles would have to park nearby to make room for the city snow clearing machines. There is a city bus stop just a few minutes walk away. It runs fairly frequently and guests have found it convenient to use. Pick ups and drop offs to the Akakura area can be arranged on request.

Wasabi Wonderland is a brand newly renovated and ideal getaway to explore Myoko's spectacular mountains. Incredible features are in this house, Japanese zen garden, rock climbing wall, a bathtub with a view, and all the little touches that make this a perfect home for your holiday. If you are looking for a place with personality, Wasabi Wonderland is it! This is a unique place to stay, this old company lodging has been newly transformed and renovated to maximize comfort and inspire creativity. This space is perfect for entertaining your friends or family. No bedrooms share walls, ensuring complete privacy within the house itself. Unique features include an indoor climbing wall, an enormous dry room, a bath with a view, a luxurious master bedroom, a hidden bunk room and summertime waterfall views. The entire Chalet is rented out to our guests, and all rooms shown here are available for use during your stay. Free parking is provided on the premises. Although this chalet is close to the slopes, a vehicle is recommended for a stay here. For winter bookings, all vehicles are required to have 4WD and snow chains/ tires to be permitted access to the St. Moritz Akakura Pension area.
