For those seeking a secluded hideaway, this quaint, stone cottage offers a getaway like no other. Escape the tourist crowds and immerse yourself in pristine nature with Adriatic’s crystal clear waters right at your doorstep. Unwind enjoying spectacular sunsets from every corner of the property and let the waves lull you to sleep at night. Stargazing is optimal at this location, with an easy access to biking and hiking trails. This is a rare, direct seafront property, on over an acre of land, with a private parking and a private road leading to the house. It is situated at a point of Stiniva Bay on the Northern coast of Korcula island. Despite the remote location, ferry connections to the mainland, stores, bars, restaurants and other modern conveniences can be found only 3km away in the town of Vela Luka. The property is thoughtfully built to resemble a traditional Dalmatian village, featuring two tiny house residences surrounding a central court. The land features a producing olive orchard, and you will be able to enjoy the olive oil harvested directly form the land. The property is 100% off grid, powered by solar panels with propane cook range and propane on-demand water heater. There's an outdoor, covered wood-fired barbecue grill. Water is supplied by rainwater catchment system piped throughout the property. (The host will provide firewood and bottled drinking water.) Keep in mind, off grid living has its challenges and it is not suitable for everybody. For example, one needs to be mindful of their power usage. Electricity is limited especially on cloudy days. You must charge your electronic devices during the daytime hours instead of at night. Appliances such as hair dryers, irons, microwaves and toasters can not be used. There is also no air conditioning. Overhead 12V fans and sea breeze help make the nighttime more comfortable. Hand washed laundry only.
