It is a modern two-storey vaulted house with island style that will offer you relaxation and beautiful moments during your vacation. It is located on the main road of Perissa and is 800 meters from the most famous black beach of the island, Perivolos. Our villa has two bedrooms. One on the ground floor with front terrace overlooking the sea and the private pool and a backyard terrace with mountain views. A bedroom on the first floor that has a terrace with privet outdoor jacuzzi overlooking the private pool and the sea. There are bathrooms on both levels. Also on the ground floor there is a full kitchen with dining area and a sofa bed for a fifth guest. At the entrance of the Villa there is a private area for free parking of guests. This 130 sq. m. mansion is divided in two floors; the ground floor has two bedrooms (one double and one with two single beds) and a bathroom with bath tub. There is also a living room (the two sofas can be converted to sofa beds) and a fully equipped kitchen. On the first floor there is another double bedroom with en suite bathroom (with shower) giving access to a big veranda with views towards the sea and the surrounding mountains and hills. At the ground level there is a 40 sq. m. swimming pool with sun beds; there is a barbeque at the garden area. The mansion has air conditioning and heating. It also comes fully equipped with Wi-Fi and satellite TV. There is a stove, a microwave oven, a washing machine, a dish washer all necessary kitchen utensils and of course hot running water. Ο πολεμόπυργος αυτός είναι ένας από τους πύργους της Mάνης, μοναδικό λαϊκό αρχιτεκτονικό έργο, λιθόχτιστη κατασκευή επηρεασμένη από αντίστοιχα αρχιτεκτονικά έργα της Βενετίας, τα οποία υιοθέτησαν στην περιοχή τους οι Μανιάτες στρατιώτες - μετά την παραμονή τους από τον Ιταλικό στρατό. Είναι ένας από τους 800+ πύργους που έχουν αναγνωρισθεί διεθνώς από την Unesco ως διατηρητέα μνημεία πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς. Δυστυχώς, οι 300 περίπου από τους 800 πύργους έχουν ήδη γίνει ερείπια που δεν μπορούν να διασωθούν πια. Ο δικός μας πύργος, ο Πύργος του Νικόλαου Ζωάκου, γνωστός στην περιοχή χαϊδευτικά κι ως ο Πύργος των Ζωάνων, χτίστηκε το 17ο αιώνα. Έχει ύψος 12 μέτρα και εκτείνεται σε 3 επίπεδα: ισόγειο, όροφος και δεύτερος όροφος, με το μεγάλο υπνοδωμάτιο του τελευταίου ορόφου να επικοινωνεί με την ταράτσα όπου ήταν στημένα τα περιβόητα κανόνια. Εκεί, λοιπόν, σε αυτόν τον πολεμόπυργο ζούσε και ο ίδιος ο Ζωάκος μαζί με την οικογένεια του: τα 5 παιδιά του, τους 3 κούρους και τις 2 θηλυκά. Το πυργόσπιτο έχει στις εξωτερικές πλευρές του - κάτω από το δυτικό και ανατολικό παράθυρο - τις γνωστές μανιάτικες «ζεματίστρες ή καταχιούστρες» που θα μπορούσαν να αναβιώσουν σε πολεμική περίοδο τη συνήθεια των γυναικών να παίρνουν τα πράγματα στα χέρια τους και να επιτίθενται στον εχθρό πετώντας από ψηλά καυτό λάδι ή νερό. Τόσο απλά, τόσο αποδοτικά. Και ο εχθρός; Όπου φύγει, φύγει… Στο πυργόσπιτο των Ζωάκων θα δείτε τις γνωστές ντουφεκότρουπες, σημάδια της αέναης προετοιμασίας των Μανιατών για πόλεμο. Μας υπενθυμίζουν ότι στο μυαλό και στην καρδιά όλων των Μανιατών η ελευθερία ήταν, είναι και θα είναι η ύψιστη αξία. Στη Μάνη δεν αγαπούσαν μόνο την ελευθερία. Αγαπούσαν και σεβόταν τη γυναίκα, τη μάνα, έτσι η Μάνη ήταν αποδεδειγμένα η πρώτη μητριαρχική κοινωνία. Η ιδιοκτήτρια του σπιτιού, η γυναίκα του Ζωάκου ήταν, τιμής ένεκεν, λόγω και της ιδιαίτερης ιδιοσυγκρασίας της και του δυναμισμού της, μέλος της Γεροντικής, του άτυπου συμβουλίου που έλυνε τις διαφορές των Μανιατών, ελλείψει δικαστικών λειτουργών της εποχής. Η οικογένεια των Ζωάκων ανήκε στην τάξη των Σοϊλήδων, μια ας πούμε, ανώτερη τάξη που λέγεται πως είχαν τη ρίζα τους από τους Κομνηνούς του Βυζαντίου. Οι Σοιλήδες είχαν δικαίωμα να χρησιμοποιούν όπλα και να μένουν σε πυργόσπιτα, ενώ οι «αχαμνοί», η πιο ταπεινή τάξη που δούλευε γι αυτούς, όχι. Το σπίτι είναι μια ζωντανή ανάμνηση όλων των βιωμάτων της ιδιοκτήτριας οικογένειας και των απογόνων της. Συνεχίζοντας την περιγραφή θα προσπαθήσουμε να αποδώσουμε το κλίμα της εποχής, τις ιδιαιτερότητες του σπιτιού, τα κρυφά σημεία, αυτά, που κατά τη γνώμη μας αξίζει να φωτιστούν. Μπαίνοντας λοιπόν στο σπίτι θα συναντήσεις το τζάκι, τη λεγόμενη φωτογωνιά, όπου έψηνε η οικογένεια με τα τσουκάλια το καθημερινό απλό κι απέριττο φαγητό. Τα χαμηλά ανοίγματα των διαδρόμων ακόμη και των πύργων είχαν ένα σκοπό: να δυσκολεύουν τον απρόσμενο επισκέπτη να μπει εύκολα μέσα, να αναγκαστεί να σκύψει και άρα, να γίνεται έρμαιο στα χέρια των οικοδεσποτών. Εάν οι οικοδεσπότες ήθελαν να τον υποδεχτούν έχει καλώς, αλλιώς, ο κάθε απρόσμενος επισκέπτης εκδιώκονταν κακήν κακώς. Μετά τη φωτογωνιά δηλ το τζάκι, μέσα από μια χαμηλή – προσοχή εδώ – καμάρα συναντάς την κουζίνα ,την κυρίως τουαλέτα, μπάνιο και την πρώτη κρεβατοκάμαρα που οδηγεί στην πετρόχτιστη αυλή με την λιμνούλα - τζακούζι για να μπορείς να δροσίζεσαι και να απολαμβάνεις μια σύγχρονη άνεση σε ένα τόσο παλιό κτίριο, δένοντας - όπως πιστεύουμε - αρμονικά το χθες με το σήμερα. Η επικοινωνία των ορόφων γίνεται όπως παλιά, μέσω ξύλινων σκαλών, των ‘’καταρρακτών’’, λέγονται έτσι γιατί είναι αρκετά απότομες ώστε να κερδίζουν χώρο για το κυρίως σπίτι, τα δωμάτια. Ανεβαίνοντας στον πρώτο όροφο θα βρεις το σαλόνι με δύο πολυθρόνες που μπορεί να γίνουν κρεβάτι και μια μικρή τουαλέτα. Από το σαλόνι μπορείς να βγεις στο μεγάλο μπαλκόνι με την τραπεζαρία για τον πρωινό καφέ, το γεύμα ή το δείπνο. Πιο πάνω στον δεύτερο όροφο θα συναντήσεις τη δεύτερη κρεβατοκάμαρα με τη δική τους τουαλέτα. Οι εξώπορτες των σπιτιών παραμένουν εντός αυλής, περιφρουρημένες. Ήταν απαγορευτικό να είναι προσβάσιμες από τον δρόμο ή από κάποιο σοκάκι. The villa has been furnished with modern comfortable furniture and fully equipped to a very high standard, the villa has large bright, airy rooms all of which have terraces or balconies looking out over the panoramic Ionian Sea views. Located on stunningly beautiful and popular North East area of Corfu the villa offers an excellent base for your holiday in the sun. Locally there are many beautiful bays and resorts with Taverna's, bars and mini markets others quiet and secluded, you can hire a boat locally to discover hidden gems, historic Corfu town is under 40 minutes drive away. The villas property manager will attend to the pool and Aileen our villa maid will visit the villa twice a week. You will be dealing with and booking directly with us, the villa owner. All rooms have air conditioning & central heating, The private pool also benefits from the stunning views and all day sunshine, an extensive private terrace to enjoy a BBQ, alfresco dining and private sun bathing. Full access to the house. The owner lives in Belgium but there are two persons who can be there within an hour to help you with anything. La partie Nord-est de Corfou est spectaculaire, avec les pentes du mont Pantokrator, le plus haut sommet de Corfou avec 906m de haut et se pentes qui descendent vers la mer critalline en amas de rochers. Les grandes plages et les criques se succèdent dans un ravissement sans fin. La baie d'Agni et Gialiskari constituent ce que je considère être la plus belle région de l'île. Le village de Kalami n'est qu'à 2 km en voiture et vous permettra de faire vos courses de tous les jours, de profiter d'une splendide plage mais aussi de louer un bateau pour la journée. A pied : la plage de Gialiskari est à 20 minutes de marche mais attention toutes les côtes corfiotes sont pentues et difficiles à remonter. La baie d'Agni est aussi accessible facilement depuis la route principale. Une ligne de bus vous offre la possibilité de rejoindre Kassiopi (au nord) ou Corfu (au sud). Mais l'idéal reste la location d'une voiture, généralement peu couteuse par rapport à la nécessité qu'on en a sur l'île.
