Perfectly situated on Battery street just between the Grand Harbour Hotel and the beautiful Upper Baraka Gardens. The downstairs bathroom has recently been renovated and there is a new sofa bed in the living room. This lovely two level maisonette is composed of high ceilings with traditional maltese tiling and beautifully preserved limestone walls. The first floor contains a a fully equipped kitchen, a private toilette, sofa bed, and the comforts of a peaceful living room with desk and full access to internet, TV, heater and a standing fan. The upstairs floor contains a private bedroom with plenty of wardrobe space, iron and ironing board, a private bathroom and beautiful balcony overlooking the old and quant Battery Street where guests can enjoy a meal, glass of wine or a cup of coffee. The entire maisonette is yours to enjoy. Directions to using the TV and cable: The black remote control is for the TV - it controls the volume and the channel changes The grey remote is for the cable. 1. Turn on the TV and the Cable 2. If the channels do not immediately appear, use the Grey remote and press "AV" . Make sure that the setting is on "AV-2" 3. The channels should appear. If not, try turning the power on to the cable box (using the Grey remote). 4. If it still does not work, please call Trudy and she will help you. You will be just beneath the Upper Barrakka Gardens which were designed by and for the Knights back in the 16th century. A stone throw away from the shopping centre, although in a quaint area of this beautiful Baroque city cradled with 12 km of fortifications. You will find many restaurants, coffee shops and museums and much more in all the area. The neighborhood itself is very quiet but with easy access to all parts of the island. The maisonette is located some 10 minutes away from the main artery of public transport, that will give you access to the rest of the Island. A little down further the apartment, you can take the boat service that connects the Capital to the Three Cities. Ferries to Gozo depart from Cirkewwa every 45 min - 2 hours depending on the season. Check out gozochannel website for the schedule. Check out is 10AM with the possibility to leave your luggage (bookings etc permitted) until 2pm. The entire apartment has undergone complete renovation over the past two years, in 2017 the bathroom was renovated and in Nov 2018 the kitchen and living area underwent a complete facelift. This has improved previous issues with some of the humidity and stains that previous guests complained about. This property features a fully equipped ground floor/basement studio apartment with a separate kitchen and recently renovated bathroom and kitchen areas. Guests should be aware that we have a dehumidifier running in the bathroom to keep the place dry and comfortable. The dehumidifier should be running whenever guests are not in the apartment with windows open to keep the place dry.
